Shipping & Delivery Policies
Shipping Methods and International Delivery
Elika offers flexible delivery options based on Incoterms, shipping windows and doors from Bahrain to destinations worldwide, with a primary focus on U.S. delivery:
- CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight)
Elika arranges shipment and insurance to the U.S. port of entry. The buyer is responsible for import clearance, duties/taxes, and transportation from the port to the job site. - DAP (Delivered at Place)
Elika handles export clearance and transport directly to your job site for an additional cost. The buyer is responsible for U.S. import clearance, duties/taxes, and unloading at the site. - DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
Elika delivers directly to your specified location and covers all import duties and fees. The buyer is only responsible for unloading the goods and paying any applicable local state taxes (e.g., sales or use tax).
For all methods, Elika manages export customs clearance from Bahrain. Buyers are responsible for ensuring access for a 40-foot truck and arranging unloading equipment (e.g., forklift or adequate manpower) at the delivery site.
Estimated Lead Times
- Production Time: Varies by order size and specifications, typically several weeks.
- Transit Time: 8–14 weeks by sea from Bahrain to a U.S. port (starting after both parties approve shop drawings).
Please note: The design, review, and correction stage occurs before the 8–14 week shipping window. Delays in customer approvals can extend overall lead times.
Lead times are estimates only. Delays caused by port congestion, customs procedures, strikes, or other force majeure events are outside Elika’s responsibility.
